In each issue of the Bioplastics Bulletin, we present five facts about a member of European Bioplastics. This month, Mrs Emanuela Bardi, Product Manager at Taghleef Industries, shares some information on one of the largest global manufacturers of BoPP films, CPP films and BoPLA films.
5 facts about Taghleef Industries, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.)
- Headquartered in Dubai, (U.A.E.), Taghleef Industries (Ti) is one of the largest global manufacturers of BoPP films, CPP films, BoPLA films with a manufacturing capacity of more than 410,000 tons/year. Ti offers a wide range of specialised and multi-purpose films for the food packaging, labels, industrial and graphic arts applications.
- Today, Ti has nine manufacturing facilities on 5 continents, 5 prime R&D centres across the globe, where their products and process technologies, application developments, and polymer expertise are deployed to advance the innovative packaging solutions expected in the market.
- In 2010, Taghleef launched NATIVIA® films in its Italian plant; today, Ti is still the front-runner in the sustainable flexible packaging industry. - Taghleef works on two innovation axes with NATIVIA® range: exploring different voiding technologies to offer solutions for improved yield and packaging weight reduction and improved gas barrier properties. The range includes a wide spectrum of aesthetical aspects from transparent, solid white, white voided to metallised.
