With less than four weeks to go, we are excited to announce some last minute additions to the packed programme of this year’s European Bioplastics Conference on 29/30 November 2016 in Berlin.
DuPont presents world premiere at the 11the European Bioplastics Conference
Conference delegates can look forward to the launch of a world premier of the latest research and innovation technology by DuPont, one of the world’s leading producer of biobased, engineering grade polymers. Dr Christian Lenges, Business Development Manager at DuPont Industrial BioSciences will present the company’s new biotechnology enabled polysaccharides with innovative characteristics that make the material available for a broad variety of applications. The conference delegates will be the first to learn about this novel biomaterial in full.
Justin Zeulner, Executive Director of the Green Sports Alliance (USA) will give first-hand insights into the exemplary and motivational work of the Alliance that leverages the huge cultural reach and market influence of sports to promote the benefits of bioplastics in the USA – surely something that European organisations can take inspiration and learn a thing or two from.
Mike Gross, Research Technical Strategist at Kimberly-Clark Corporation will present the company’s latest successes in research and development of innovative thermoplastic starch and aliphatic polyester blend solutions.
Another highlight will be a panel discussion on “The future of European Waste Management” that will explore how efficient waste management with regards to bioplastics can look like in future, which no doubt will be of great interest for all delegates. The panel features some highly renowned and knowledgeable experts, including Steve Dejonghe (Looplife Polymers), Christian Garaffe (Novamont), Stefanie Siebert (European Compost Network), Jasmin Bauer (Knoten Weimar), and Mariagiovanna Vetere (Vice-Chairperson at European Bioplastics).
The full speaker line-up for the two-day event is available online. The agenda covers a wide range of important areas, including the EU policy landscape, the latest technological innovations in materials and conversion of bioplastics, advances in standardisation and labelling, bio-based feedstock, end-of-life solutions, as well as the consumer and brand perspective.
Only four weeks to go! Don’t miss your chance to attend the leading business and networking platform of the bioplastics industry in Europe. You can still secure your place via the online registration. The conference programme will be complemented by a number of networking opportunities and an exhibition alongside the conference. Following the great success of the past years, we again expect another exciting, informative, and fruitful conference in 2016 with more than 350 delegates, speakers, and exhibitors.
We want to thank this year’s platinum sponsor BASF as well as our partners at Biotec, Braskem, Corbion Purac, DuPont, NatureWorks, Perstorp and Tereos, who are supporting this year’s conference as sponsors and help to make the 11th edition of the European Bioplastics another successful meeting of our industry.
