EUBP Talk #1: Recycling of Bioplastics

European Bioplastics is excited to launch a new series of informal online talks on bioplastics recycling and the scale up of recycling technologies.

During the EUBP Talks, outstanding researchers, organisations, and companies interested in monitoring emerging innovation will come together to exchange ideas and solutions in an informal setting.

In our first edition, Lorette du Preez, Head of Sustainability and Environmental Affairs at  European Bioplastics (EUBP), will introduce and kick off the EUBP Talk Series, setting the stage for discussions on the future of  bioplastics recycling.

The series will explore advancements in bioplastics recycling, available recycling technologies, and the challenges faced—starting from technology readiness level TRL 5.

One of our speakers, Javier Grau Forner, Researcher in Mechanical Recycling at AIMPLAS, will provide an in-depth look at the current state of bioplastics waste management, its impact on conventional plastics systems, and the challenges in recovery and mechanical recycling.
