Dear members, As in previous years, European Bioplastics is supporting the annual “Bioplastics Week” (BPW), a social media campaign aiming at increasing the visibility of bioplastics. The event, hosted by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), is the perfect opportunity to address audiences located outside of Europe. This year’s Bioplastics Week will be held on 2-6 October 2023. Each day will focus on a different topic around bioplastics. The topics will be announced here soon. We will be sharing content (infographics, videos, publications, etc), using the hashtag #BioplasticsWeek to drive the conversation and inform our audience. Please join us in liking, sharing, reposting our content and don’t hesitate to post your own. We will be active on Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. There is also a possibility to support the campaign by so-called “Bioplastics Shorts” on a topic of your choice that fits the agenda. PLASTICS will conduct an interview (15-20-minutes) with you and convert it into a video (2-3 minutes). The video will be shared via social media during the week. This year, PLASTICS also offers the opportunity to share behind-the-scenes videos with them, showcasing bioplastic manufacturing processes, composting and/or recycling processes. You also have the opportunity to apply for the Innovation in Bioplastics Award. Each year, this award recognises an innovation in bioplastic material, product, or manufacturing process. Submit an entry for consideration by August 11th! The winner will be announced during Bioplastics Week and awarded at NPE2024: The Plastics Show. You can contact Heather Nortz from PLASTICS directly to discuss the video opportunities and the Innovation in Bioplastics Award. Kind regards, The EUBP Communications Team
