Dear members of European Bioplastics,
As presented at the last Members Meeting, over the past months the board of EUPB has been acting on the new vision and mission, and we invite you to a video-call in September for a final review of the same - an invitation will follow. The organisation of EUBP in Brussels is now operational, and Julie and Marion are a great support, allowing Roberto to focus on his advocacy to increase our impact. Unfortunately, some of the EUBP colleagues, Constance and Katherina, have left EUBP, and Katrin has started to support the German Bioplastics organisation. This leaves the EUBP currently short of experienced colleagues. Under the leadership of Hasso, we are currently looking for, interviewing and within 2023 hiring new team-members. However, for the coming months, EUBP will remain short of experienced colleagues. In consequence, EUBP will need to set priorities and significantly reduce the support for some of its activities, and until the end of the year, the staff of EUBP will focus mainly on supporting advocacy activities and the Brussels team. Other activities like the drafting of basic documents and the support to working groups are only possible if resources are available. Hasso and the Board are working to remedy the situation as fast as possible, and in the name of Hasso and the Board, I apologise for the reduced support.
