Call for participation in short survey on BPA alternatives

Dear Members,

Bisphenol A (BPA) has been identified as substance of very high concern (SVHC) by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). It was added to ECHA's list of candidates for inclusion in Annex XIV of the REACH regulation (Authorisation List).

In advance to this measure, possibilities of restriction and inclusion in Annex XVII of the REACH regulation are under consideration. In this context, BioMath GmbH and SKZ - KFE gGmbH on behalf of the Umweltbundesamt (German Environment Agency, UBA) are investigating the availability of alternatives to BPA and their potential use in mixtures, articles or processes.

EUBP was kindly asked to forward a related short survey to its members and encourage them to actively contribute to this European BPA regulation process. In case you are interested in participating, please respond to the 14 questions no later than 4 December 2020 via the following link.

Kind regards,
Hasso v. Pogrell
Managing Director
