European Bioplastics Joined stakeholders to promote the Biogenic carbon accounting in the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF)
European Bioplastics joined other stakeholders to support the adoption of a -1/+1 approach in PEF: consistent use of the -1/+1 accounting for all biomass-derived products is more intuitive, transparent, and compliant with current standards and will ensure a fair comparison between fossil-based and biobased products, allowing consumers to make informed purchasing decisions based on the demonstrated and transparent climate benefits of biobased solutions.
