Vision and Mission of EUBP Follow-up, call for input
Dear Members,
After the meeting that was held on 12 September to discuss the Vision & Mission, 3 propositions for the Vision of European Bioplastics emerged. You can find these propositions below:
- By 2050, in the EU, at least 50% of the carbon in polymers will come from renewable and sustainable raw materials that can be/is biodegradable where beneficial, to support the resource-efficient and carbon-neutral bioeconomy according to the Green Deal.
- By 2050, in the EU, at least 50% of the carbon in polymers will come from renewable and sustainable raw materials that can be biodegradable where beneficial for society. EUBP and its members support the resource-efficient and carbon-neutral bioeconomy according to the Green Deal.
- By 2050, in the EU, at least 50% of the carbon in polymers will come from renewable and sustainable raw materials, that can be biodegradable for relevant applications, to support the resource-efficient and carbon-neutral bioeconomy according to the Green Deal.

Of course, the Mission would have to be adapted to fit the new Vision we adopt.
