On 18 – 19 June, the BIOnTOP kick-off meeting took place at the premises of project coordinator AIMPLAS in Valencia, Spain. The four-year project aims at delivering bio-based recyclable-by-design cost competitive packaging solutions that can be mechanically recycled, industrially or home compostable, or suitable for anaerobic digestion. Leading experts from 21 organisations based in 8 European countries form the project consortium, of which European Bioplastics is a proud member.
The BIOnTOP website will be online soon. In the meantime, do not hesitate to contact Mr Götz Ahrens, Project Manager at EUBP, to find out more (ahrens@european-bioplastics.org).
This project has received funding from the Bio Based Industries Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No 837761. The JU receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the Bio Based Industries Consortium.
